Fri. Feb. 11- Fri. Feb. 18- Florida mini vacation for my birthday with Eliz and C
Early, early AM flight from RIC to FLL, but it was direct and no glitches.
First time in the master stateroom- quite a surprise. The weather was much warmer than home.
We enjoyed the Lake Trail in several directions. We did a recon mission in the two condos, mostly thinking about what comes next after Dad, and also documenting furnishings.
One afternoon we went looking for manatees in the lake on the HG but no luck.
Eliz spent a lot of time preparing for a performance where she was to be DJ in Va. when we got back.
On Monday we had visitors from HB (KC and SH) and spent the day in meetings, then D&M came from dinner, which turned out to be all hands on deck but the stone crabs were great.
On Thursday Dennis and I tried for peacock bass but did not see a thing. Then we did a recon trip over to the two warehouses for photos and just general checking out.
Friday's flight back was at 8:45 from FLL. Traffic was terrible (to me) but we had plenty of time in the airport and an easy flight.
I called this a thinking vacation- a lot to think about, feeling a bit overwhelmed.
