March 21- Hurricane Hole, very different from the HH of the 1970s.
March 22-23- Highbourne Cay - very well set up marina. Spotted bananaquit, green heron, and ruddy turnstone pretty close up. Zero fish wading and trolling. Bull sharks. Hung SarahBeth sign on edge of beach cabana. Good walking on paved roads.
March 24-25 Cape Eleuthera- again very much more developed since the 1970s. Saw a reddish heron. Caught a couple of blue runners on Tenkara as well as a baby strawberry grouper. G had a big afternoon of bonefish. Bull sharks. Walking on sandy paths.
March 26-27- Compass Cay- lots of don’t do this and that under the new admin. C slipped on loose concrete at an abandoned house. Kite surfers on main bonefish flat. On the other flat a paddle boarder and a kayak couple came right through our fishing area. Lunch at Staniel.
March 28 -29 - Norman’s Cay. Very much changed. Big $ invested. Windy. So many of these islands have been bought and taken private by celebs like Johnny Depp and by the Cruise lines.
March 30- back to HH and home.
